Rita Guarino's side travels to Lombardy for the inaugural Juventus Women Serie A match

The day that the Juventus Women have been waiting weeks and weeks for will finally come on Saturday as Rita Guarino's side travel to Lombardy to face Atalanta Mozzanica at 15.00 CEST in their inaugural Women's Serie A match.

The first pre-season is in the books for the Juventus Women. It all started with a trip to Valle D'aosta for the first camp to prepare for their Coppa Italia first round tie against Torino.

The girls passed the first test with flying colors winning 13-0 in the first leg and 8-0 in the second leg

Finally, the women drew the Nerazzura of Inter 0-0 in the final warm-up.

It will be a stern test on the opening day of the season as the women travel to a Atalanta Mozzanica side that finished fourth in the 12-team Serie A last season with 14 wins, 2 draws and 6 losses. They posted a 9-1-1 record at home including the only defeat handed out to last year's champions Fiorentina.

Like their male first-team counterparts, the women will also travel to Lombardy with Atalanta Mozzanica just about 25 kilometers away from Bergamo where Juventus will face Atalanta on Sunday. Atalanta play in the Stadio Comunale and defeated Orobica by a combined 10-0 scoreline to advance in the Coppa Italia first round.

Forward Valeria Pirone led the way for Atalanta Mozzanica last season scoring 19 goals in 22 matches and returns this season looking to build on that great campaign.

    Good luck, Bianconere!
