Fresh from Wednesday's Coppa Italia win in Vinovo, Juventus Women are on the road this Saturday against Ravenna Woman on matchday nine of the Serie A season.
MOVING ON IN THE CUP
It was tough work for the Bianconere on Wednesday in Vinovo, but they secured a 2-0 advancement in the second round of the Coppa Italia, beating local side Juventus Torino Femminile.
After a handful of near-misses, Sanni Franssi gave Juventus the breakthrough in the 70th minute while Arianna Caruso doubled their advantage right on the final whistle.
TOP OF THE LEAGUE
What a run it's been so far for Juventus Women, who boast a perfect eight wins from eight games in the league. The last two matchdays have surely been the most impressive as they've beaten previously undefeated Brescia and defending champions Fiorentina by a combined score of 6-0.
The prolific Juventus Women attack boasts five players with at least three goals as Barbara Bonansea and Franssi are tied for the team lead with four strikes each.
Not to be left out, the defense has been impeccable as well with just two goals allowed on the season and three straight shutouts in the league.
SATURDAY'S OPPONENT
It has been a tough go for Ravenna Woman so far this season with one win and six points to show from eight matches. Nevertheless, they come into Saturday's match off the back of a 1-0 win over Castelvecchio to secure advancement in the Coppa Italia.
Emma Errico provides the scoring punch up front with a team-leading four strikes on the year.
