There are just two days until the Juventus Women play their first-ever competitive match in the first leg of the first round of the Coppa Italia against Torino Calcio Femminile at Pianezza(TO) on Sunday 27 August at 16.00 CEST.

Today, the Juve women received a bit of special motivation for the match as Milena Bertolini, manager of the Italian National Team, stopped by training.

The Azzuri coach visited both the Vinovo Training Center as well as the Sisport Center in Turin where Rita Guarino held the penultimate training session. The Italian Women's National Team has 2019 World Cup Qualifiers coming up in the middle of September against Moldova and Romania which many of the Juve women will be aiming to play a major role in.

"Juventus is a new team but very important for the women's football movement," said Bertolini to Juventus TV. "I've had the opportunity to see the training and we can only thank the Bianconeri for their push into women's football.

There have been more talk in the media in the past two months than in the last few years and the fact that a major club like Juventus has taken this opportunity to be at the forefront will surely push the entire movement on further. In the past, conditions have been missed for girls to develop here in Italy so now I think that may change."
