Andrea Barzagli was full of praise for goal hero Paulo Dybala after the Argentine clinched victory for Juventus with a late, late winner at Lazio.
“We're delighted for Paulo,” the veteran defender began. “He's just come back from injury and he's scored a huge, huge goal that have won us three massive points tonight. I think it will spur him on for the rest of the season now.
“Paulo is one of those rare players capable of trying something really difficult in the 92nd minute and pulling it off. His goal was just amazing.”
Juve certainly didn't have an easy time of things at the Olimpico, where Lazio gave them a real run for their money on the night.
“Lazio are an excellent side and they have some great players, as they've shown down the years. They came at us really strong in the first 45 minutes then eased off a touch as the fatigue of extra time in midweek wore in.
“We weren't able to fashion many chances and we weren't very tidy in possession either. We made a few mistakes too. Then right at the end Paulo came to the rescue!”
Attentions now turn to Tottenham and the Champions League return leg on Wednesday.
“It will be all or nothing at Wembley and we're going to have to play very well indeed. It's different in the Champions League – there's a lot more quality and it's less tactical but we must go there and score.”
