A 0-0 draw between Italy and Portugal at the San Siro saw the visitors advance to the Nations League Final Four at the expense of the Azzurri.

Italy despite puting in a good performance just couldn't get the vital goal that would see themselves through. Giorgio Chiellini was presented with a trophy just before kick-off to commemorate 100 caps for Italy, joining former Juventus players, Gianluigi Buffon, Fabio Cannavaro, Andrea Pirlo and Dino Zoff, as well as the likes of Paolo Maldini and Daniele De Rossi. Chiellini became on the 7th player in history to reach triple figures, and did so wearing the captain's armband on a very special evening for him. 17 November 2004, exactly 14 years ago saw him collect his first cap, coming on as a second half substitute in a friendly match between Italy and Finland played in Messina.

Yesterday, in addition to Chiellini, two other Bianconeri players took to the field, playing the full 90 minutes, Leonardo Bonucci and Joao Cancelo. Whilst Mattia De Sciglio and Daniele Rugani were unused substitutes for Italy.
