It's going to be an interesting week for the Bianconeri as they get set to battle Atalanta not once, but twice over the next seven days. Indeed on 25 February it'll be the Serie A matchup at Allianz Stadium while the Bergamo side will once again face the daunting task of Allianz Stadium again on 28 February in the second leg of the TIM Cup semi-finals.

However, while this seems like a strange occurence, it is actually the eleventh time in the modern era that the Bianconeri have faced an opponent twice in a row and incredibly it's the fourth season in a row that this has happened.

JANUARY 2015 vs HELLAS VERONA

En route to the first of three consecutive Coppa Italia and Serie A doubles, Juventus faced Hellas Verona twice in a four day span from 15 January to 18 January in 2015.

Both matches played at Allianz Stadium, the Bianconeri cruised to a 6-1 Coppa Italia round of 16 victory behind a double from Sebastian Giovinco.

Juventus then faced Hellas in Serie A with a similarly comprehensive 4-0 win in which the Bianconeri were up 2-0 after just seven minutes through goals from Carlos Tevez and Paul Pogba in a season which Juventus would win the scudetto by a full 17 points.

February/March 2016 vs Inter

Two Derby d'Italia's in four days?! That's what was on the cards in 2016 as Juventus and Inter faced off in the league and cup twice in just a few days.

The Bianconeri welcomed Inter for a huge Serie A showdown on 28 February and after a goalless first half, Leonardo Bonucci opened the scoring for Juve in the 47th minute slamming in a mis-guided clearance. Alvaro Morata then drew a penalty and finished it from the spot to seal a 2-0 win for Juve.

Holding a 3-0 lead from the first leg win at Allianz Stadium, Juventus headed to the San Siro for the TIM Cup semi-final second leg in pole position, but the Nerazzurri battled back. With the hosts up 3-0 after 90 minutes, the match went to extra time and eventually to penalty kicks.

Juventus hit all five of their kicks from the spot while Neto denied Rodrigo Palacio as the Bianconeri won the shootout to earn another trip to Rome.

April 2017 vs Napoli

What a blockbuster week it was in early April of last season as the Bianconeri battled Napoli in Serie A and the semi-finals of the TIM Cup on April 2nd and 5th of 2017.

Heading to the cauldron of the San Paolo, the Bianconeri secured a key point as Sami Khedira struck early on to silence the home fans. The Partenopei would equalize in the 60th minute through Marek Hamsik, but the teams shared the points.

Another trip to the San Paolo was on tap just a few days later with a spot in Rome on the line. With the Bianconeri holding a 3-1 advantage after the first leg, Higuain fired the Bianconeri into a lead on the night, extending their aggregate lead to three.

A thrilling see-saw affair in the second half saw Napoli pull within a goal on aggregate, but Juventus held on to fall 3-2 on the night but advance 5-4 on aggregate.
