"All united for the good of Italian football", this is the message launched by Giorgio Chiellini, who as the captain of the Italian National Team spoke at the Quirinale, where the Azzurri were received by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the FIGC. "Unity and reform and reform, these are the words that I would like to highlight today - explained the Juventus defender - "Unity of all, of us athletes, coaches, but also of the media and the fans, to start again and bring back Italian football to the glories of the past, with many victories for the national side."

Chiellini, who today celebrated 13 years since his debut in Bianconero (back on 10 October 2005 when the defender came on in place of Pavel Nedved during Juventus-Messina) also wanted to focus on the importance of his role as a senator in the Azzurri dressing room: "We as members of the national team have a great responsibility to be bearers of those values that must be true in every context, especially towards young players"

Yesterday, Roberto Mancini's Italy defeated Poland in the UEFA Nations League, a victory that guarantees the Azzurri to be seeded in the draw of the qualifying groups for the European Championship in 2020.

The Women's national team also participated in the celebration of the 120th anniversary, where the captain of Juventus Women, Sara Gama, spoke: "We women have been a relative part of these years, but today we are here with pride and gratitude to celebrate ourselves, our dreams and those who helped us to realise them, between sacrifices on and off the field to express our passions."
