Such is Mario Mandzukic’s unrelenting commitment to the Juventus cause, it is fitting that the all-action forward’s 31st birthday falls on a matchday – a highly important one at that – and not for the first time either.
Last season, Mario turned 30 on the day of the Bianconeri’s Coppa Italia final triumph over Milan, and this time against Crotone he will be doing everything within his power to help the team to a victory against Crotone that would seal the Scudetto title.
Whether he contributes in goals, assists, tenacious tackles or crucial clearances is anyone’s guess. The Croatia international can do it all and has won over the hearts of supporters for his never-say-die attitude and burning desire to win – both key elements for being a true Bianconero.
Everyone associated with the club wishes Mario all the best on his birthday and hopes he’ll be getting his hands on an extra special present later this afternoon.
