Following Italy’s draw with Ukraine on Wedensday night, Thursday saw several more Bianconeri involved in international action.

The most high-profile match was that of the UEFA Nations League between Poland and Portugal, for whom João Cancelo played the full 90 minutes in a 3-2 victory for the Euro 2016 champions, whilst Wojciech Szczesny was rested for the hosts.

The result leaves Portugal with a maximum six points after two games, with Poland and Italy on one point apiece ahead of their UEFA Nations League meeting on Sunday.

It was a profitable night for Paulo Dybala, who played the full 90 minutes of Argentina’s 4-0 friendly victory against Iraq. La Joya also set up Roberto Pereyra’s goal to make it 2-0 in the 53rdminute.

Meanwhile, Juan Cuadrado featured for the first 55 minutes of Colombia’s comeback victory (4-2) against the United States in Tampa.

Back in Europe, Miralem Pjanic played for the first half in Bosnia’s 0-0 friendly stalemate away to Turkey, while Blaise Matuidi was an unused substitute in France’s dramatic 2-2 draw at home to Iceland.

There was also friendly action for Moise Kean, who led the line for the first 62 minutes in Italy U21’s 1-0 loss to Belgium U21 in Udine. The Bianconeri forward came off for Riccardo Orsolini, currently on loan from Juventus to Bologna.

Today’s international fixtures see Rodrigo Bentancur’s Uruguay take on South Korea in Seoul and Alex Sandro’s Brazil face Saudi Arabia in Riyadh.
