The experiment to soften up Mario may have failed, but the social media campaign, launched in collaboration with We Are Social, was a resounding success, triggering 43,760 mentions on Twitter, 23 million total reach and 52,000 new subscribers on Juventus.com, besides an abundance of external media attention.
