Miralem Pjanic was in satisfied mood after scoring a stunning half-volley to set the Bianconeri on their way to a 2-0 win over Lazio on Saturday evening – the perfect way to celebrate his new contract with the club.

"I’m pleased to be staying at this wonderful club," he said. "I’ve grown as a player since I’ve been here and the club is very important to me. I want to dedicate the goal to the club, the fans and my team-mates."

The Bosnian admitted that Juve still have some work to do to hit top gear, but insisted the win over Lazio is a result to be proud of.

"We’re not firing on all cylinders just yet," said Pjanic. "We did well in spells even if we weren’t at our best, but a 2-0 win over Lazio is an excellent result from a game that was anything but easy. Now we need to work hard to find our best form."

Pjanic also reassured fans about this fitness ahead of next week’s trip to Parma.

"I’m fine," he said. "I was feeling a bit of discomfort during the week but it was nothing to worry about. We’ll rest up tomorrow and then we’ll start putting the work in to get a win against Parma."
