Having returned from the winter break with a 1-0 win over Genoa, the Bianconeri began preparations for their next match – Saturday’s trip to Chievo Verona (20.45 CET kick-off) – with this morning’s workout in Vinovo.
There was a warm-down session in the gym for those players involved in Monday night’s victory, including two men who came off midway through the game: Alex Sandro, who picked up bruising in the lower back region, and Sami Khedira, who took a knock to his left leg.
The rest of the squad worked on fitness and technique, meanwhile, as Blaise Matuidi rested after reporting significant bruising in his right thigh against Genoa. The Frenchman’s condition will be monitored closely over the coming days.
The Bianconeri will be back in training again on Wednesday morning.
