Following a thrilling fightback, with two goals in as many minutes, Juventus are through to the Champions League quarter-finals. Here is what the players had to say in the aftermath of the 2-1 win in London.

ANDREA BARZAGLI

“What a fantastic moment this is – we showed that anything is possible. We didn’t play well for 50 minutes but then we played better and turned the game around. When you’re able to dig in, luck sometimes comes to your aid, as we saw when they hit the post towards the end of the game.

“What did we say in the dressing room at half time? That we need to believe – when it’s time to dig in, we’re able to step up. We showed that we're Juve and that we're tough.”

GIORGIO CHIELLINI

“This was the game that we had in mind. We struggled in the first half but that was to be expected. Then we kept on believing – we were still in the game and knew we’d get chances to go ahead.

"We did well and showed our experience; six years ago we would not have had the same confidence to manage nights like this. Tonight, we showed we have a great deal.

"We’re keeping the dream alive: it’ll be tough but we’re still here and we’ll be tough to beat.”

GONZALO HIGUAIN

“We’re so happy – we turned it around from a losing position, against a Tottenham side that showed themselves to be an excellent and aggressive team, who always give everything.

"We’re really satisfied with the result. I’m so proud to be part of this team and to have won here, at Wembley – that doesn’t happen every day.

"I’d also like to thank the medical staff and all those who’ve stuck by me – the last few days haven’t been easy. It’s already time to turn the page and switch our focus to an important game on Sunday.”

KWADWO ASAMOAH

“I’ve been playing for this great team for six years. We work hard every day to help the group – I do it and so do my team-mates.

"Tonight we picked up a huge win, against a young side with great quality.

"I could see from the bench that we were too eager to get forward and score. The boss asked me play in a tweaked system, with four at the back. After that we kept possession better.”
