A Juventus XI made up from previous Chievo-Juve encounters over the years

As the first match of the season nears, here is a unique take on a Juventus XI who have contributed to memorable Chievo-Juve games.

      WOJCIECH SZCZESNY

The Polish goalkeeper played in both matches against Chievo last season, keeping cleansheets on both his Bianconeri debut at the Allianz Stadium in a 3-0 win and at the Stadio Bentegodi as Juve ran out 0-2 winners.

      ANDREA BARZAGLI

One of the greatest defenders in Juventus history, Andrea Barzagli also featured for Chievo Verona in his career, turning out for the side in the 2003/04 season.

      MARTIN CACERES

The last time it was Chievo-Juve on the opening day, Martin Caceres was one of the main protagonists of the fixture. Named in the starting XI in what was Massimiliano Allegri's first game on the Bianconeri bench, Caceres forced the own-goal from Chievo when he rose highest to Carlos Tevez' sixth minute corner.

      ALESSIO TACCHINARDI

15 September 2001. At the then Stadio Delle Alpi the first-ever Juventus-Chievo took place.

Chievo started well and raced into a 0-2 shock lead, however the Bianconeri fought back and levelled through Alessio Tacchinardi, going on to turn the game around 3-2!

      ALEX SANDRO

His Bianconeri debut came on 12 September 2015 against Chievo at home, whilst the Brazilian got on the scoresheet in the 0-4 away at Chievo that season.

      SAMI KHEDIRA

La Vecchia Signora's last win at Chievo, last season finished 0-2 to Juve and German midfielder, Sami Khedira opened the scoring with his 67th strike.

      EUGENIO CORINI

A midfielder blessed with excellent vision and good feet, Eugenio Corini played for Juventus for two years from 1990-1992, before going on to spend five at Chievo, who he would later go on to manage.

      MARCELO ESTIGARRIBIA

Although he only played for one season in Black and White, Estigarribia provided vital contributions in Juve's title triumph in 2011/12 that was the first of #MY7H. The Paraguayan made his Juve debut against Chievo on 16 October 2011, and then went on to play one season with the Flying Donkeys in 2013/14.

      PAULO DYBALA

Paulo Dybala's goals against Chievo have become both memorable and important. Not only did La Joya scored his first Serie A home goal with the Bianconeri against Chievo in 2015/16 from the spot, but he also netted an amazing effort last year that had the Allianz Stadium on their feet!

      ALESSANDRO DEL PIERO

9 November 2008. Juve are awarded a free-kick at the Bentegodi with the scores still 0-0. Alessandro Del Piero takes a free-kick and as usual it's a perfect effort! The goal is a fitting to way to mark the former Juve number 10's birthday!

      DAVID TREZEGUET

On 19 January 2003, David Trezeguet netted a hat-trick against Chievo, finding the net in the 11th, 68th and 86th minute, whilst Del Piero also scored in a 1-4 away win.
