Massimiliano Allegri

“The two most important weeks of the season were the ones leading up to the Napoli game in the first half of the campaign and the one prior to the Inter match at the end. We went to Milan knowing that Napoli would slip up somewhere along the line.

“If we're to push on from here, we need to think things through rationally. Our aims for next season will be the same as they were this year. We'll need people who are willing to work hard, people who are motivated, and we must figure out where we can improve the squad, which is no easy task.

“We'll greatly miss the guys who are moving on but the younger lads are improving a lot. They've all understood the Juve DNA and what you have to do to win.

“[Federico] Bernardeschi, for example, has come on in leaps and bounds, not just technically but also in terms of his desire and determination, and his willingness to battle for every ball.”

Miralem Pjanic

“What makes Juve special? Everything. We fought hard against a fantastic Napoli side and did our talking on the pitch. The results say that we're the best. We all deserve credit and especially those who have been here for the entire cycle.

“We'll look forward to next season now and we want to win the Champions League.

“I've been privileged to have played alongside [Gigi] Buffon. His career speaks for itself and I wish him all the best for the future. We'll stay friends for sure.”

Medhi Benatia

“I'm pleased with my own season but at the end of the day you win as a team and that's all that matters.

“There were some great moments, like when I scored against Roma and my double in the Coppa Italia, and some tougher moments like the last minute against Napoli.

“It's not like other clubs here at Juventus: there's a different mentality.

“We have a squad full of superb players and the gaffer knows how to keep us all on our toes and focused right till the end.

“I'm really sad at the idea of losing Buffon. He's going to leave a huge void.”

Andrea Barzagli

“We're really happy. It's been a wonderful day of celebrations and now it will continue with our fans. It's been a long, hard-fought season but we deserve the title.

“Buffon and I have a fantastic relationship. We're going to miss his exceptional leadership skills.

“When you get to my age, the mental side is crucial if you want to keep playing at the top level. Over the years I've lost that extra yard of pace that allowed me to nip in front of my man, so I've had to improve my reading of the game and that's where your experience comes into it. Of course you need to keep yourself in good shape too.”
