The statistics and records at the midway point in the Bianconeri's Serie A season

With the Juve squad making the most of a well-earned rest there are several observations to be made from the start to their season.

From 20 matches played, La Vecchia Signora have so far collected 50 points from 60 available. Since three points have been awarded for a victory in the championship Juve have only done better in the 2005/06 and 2013/14 seasons.

The stats show that Juve have enjoyed a good season to date, with both the attack and the defence playing their part. Here we can look at both areas in more detail.

Juve have created a total of 242 chances with 335 shots in total, and 128 of them on target. In 20 matches the Juventus attack has scored 49 goals, which equals the record at this point of the 2013/14 season.

Not only that, but the Bianconeri have also set the record for scoring in 24 consecutive matches away from home, something that no side has ever done before. Three goals have been scored from direct free-kicks and nine goals outside the area (the most in Serie A). There have been 13 different goalscorers (the joint most).

Juve appear to be deadliest in the second half of matches as they have scored 28 goals in the second half of matches, whilst they also enjoy a quick start as 17 of their goals has occurred in the opening half hour.

In total, Juve have been in the lead for 1006 minutes, more than any other side.

As well as a strong attack, the stats show that the Bianconeri are formidable in defence with 11 clean sheets in 20 matches, once more the most in Serie A.

15 goals in total have been conceded by Massimiliano Allegri's men, and Buffon and Szczesny have been forced into 34 saves between them. The team has only been behind for a total of 162 minutes, the least in the league and the team has only conceded once in the last 15 minutes of matches.
