On Friday, the Dutch outfit drawn to face Juventus in the quarter-finals of the Champions League after they progressed into the next round by pulling off a dramatic and historical comeback against defending Real Madrid.

Now, they will slowly be working their way to face the Bianconeri, who will, of course, also be keeping a close eye on what they do on the field in their domestic league, Eredivisie.

Erik ten Hag’s charges took to the field on Sunday afternoon, where they fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat at AFAS Stadion. Guus Til struck the only goal of the game in the 56th minute.

The loss is only the fourth defeat of the Eredivisie season for the Godenzonen, with the result seeing them fall five points behind log-leaders PSV Eindhoven.

Ajax will be back in action in a top of the table clash on Sunday, 31 March, against their league rivals PSV, kick-off at 16:45.
