Consistency personified, Sami Khedira has been an ever-present in the Bianconeri midfield since signing from Real Madrid in the summer of 2015.
Already famed for his imposing physical presence, strong tactical awareness and incisive passing, the Germany international has added intelligent runs into the box and a genuine goal threat to his game with Juventus. The 2017/18 season was the most prolific of his career, as he found the target an impressive nine times.
Born in Stuttgart, Khedira progressed through the youth academy of his local side before making his professional debut in a Bundesliga encounter against Hertha Berlin on 1 October 2006.
Following four seasons and a championship winners’ medal, the midfielder left for Real Madrid in the summer of 2010, a club with whom he would go on to lift seven trophies in five years.
On the international scene, he captained Germany’s Under 21s to European Championship glory in 2009 before also being part of Die Mannschaft’s squad, winning the World Cup in Brazil in 2014.
