Paul Pogba, one of the brightest prospects of world football, combines devastating natural talent with a powerful physique.
Born in the suburbs of Paris on 15 March 1993, Pogba began playing football at the age of six before joining the notable Le Havre youth academy in 2007. His performances as captain of the Under-16 side earned him international recognition and caught the eyes of scouts from across the globe.
Manchester United won the race for his signature, with the creative midfielder slotting straight into the club’s youth system after completing a move in 2009.
Sir Alex Ferguson promoted Pogba to the first-team squad, handing him his professional debut in the League Cup against Leeds in September 2011, and he went on to feature in the Europa League against Athletic Bilbao in the last-sixteen stage.
He enjoyed an outstanding, universally praised first season with Juventus, and having recently captained the French Under-20 side to World Cup glory (gaining the Player of the Tournament award in the process) he looks set to become a real star.
