‘Crescere insieme al Sant’Anna’
Juventus Football Club has always demonstrated its strong commitment to humanitarian initiatives and social solidarity. The club plays an active role in supporting a wide range of projects which are geared towards instilling the Juventus sporting values and ideals into society at large.
Since 2004, the club’s main charity commitment has been to support the ‘Crescere Insieme al Sant’Anna’ (Growing together with Sant’Anna) initiative, which was founded as a result of the collaboration between Juventus and Turin’s Regina Margherita-Sant’Anna hospital.
The principal aim of the project is to raise funds for the restructuring of the Sant’Anna Hospital Neonatal Department in order to ensure the children benefit from the latest cutting edge equipment and the very highest level of medical care. The money also goes towards decorating the wards with highly personalised furnishings according to each family’s wishes, enabling each individual child to feel comfortable and at home in a welcoming environment.
The Chairman of the Foundation is Dr. Daniele Farina, Head Clinician of the Sant’Anna Hospital Neonatal Dept. in Turin. Throughout the years, two Juventus champions in particular have displayed their dedicated support for the project by taking on the roles of official ambassadors: first Pavel Nedved and now Claudio Marchisio.
