The captain – who once again made some crucial saves tonight – praised his side for a hard-fought win as Juve extended their lead over Roma in the league
"Obviously it was a game with a lot of twists and turns that could have gone for or against us. We took our chance in the best way possible and we also had a fair bit of good fortune."
That's what captain Gigi Buffon – one of the stars of tonight's victory – had to say about the hard-fought 2-0 win at AC Milan tonight, a result secured despite the Bianconeri creating fewer clear-cut chances than their opponents.
While Conte and Seedorf complimented one another on their teams' performances as they left the pitch, Buffon – who made nine key saves tonight – analysed his own display: "That's what I'm here for. In games like these you need to show that experience and good fitness matter."
Tevez's goal put Juve well on course for victory. "That's not the first strike like that he's scored," revealed the Bianconeri number one, someone who's used to seeing beauties like that on a daily basis in training. "It was an unbelievable hit, and that just made life a little easier for us."
After Roma's draw against Inter, the gap at the top has moved to 11 points. "A good cushion but our opponents are a great side who are not involved in other competitions, so every point we can make up on them is like gold dust in case we run out of steam down the road," was the skipper's final word before heading down the tunnel to celebrate with his team-mates in the dressing room.
