Giaccherini: “Happy with the three points”

The versatile midfielder speaks to reporters after the Bianconeri extend their lead at the top of Serie A with a success over Bologna

Emanuele Giaccherini believes Juventus were full value for their 2-1 victory over Bologna.

The 27-year-old utility man, in his second season with the Bianconeri after arriving from Cesena in 2011, put in another all-action performance in the heart of midfield and weighed in with a vital assist for Quagliarella’s opener.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Giaccherini said: “We deserved the victory and we’re happy it came. The only regret is the fact that we weren’t able to put the game to bed when we were 1-0 up - anything can happen in these cases. We started strongly from the off and fought for every ball. They only had one shot on goal.”

“We’re the team that plays the best football in Italy and it’s also a winning formula. We’ve won nine and drawn one out of ten games. It’s a great run and I really enjoy playing here.”
