After registering his first goal in Europe, the midfielder looks ahead to the next encounter with Chelsea: “We want to go through to the next round”
Claudio Marchisio expressed his satisfaction at getting off the mark in Europe and helping the Bianconeri to a comfortable 4-0 success over Danish outfit Nordsjaelland.
But Juventus saw their hopes of climbing into second place dashed by Chelsea’s winner deep into stoppage time.
Marchisio, however, remains confident the Bianconeri can overcome the defending champions on Tuesday 20 November.
Speaking after the final whistle at Juventus Stadium, the 26-year-old midfielder said: “A 2-2 draw would have been better for us, but we required a victory and that’s exactly what we got.
“Our ambitions haven’t changed, we’ll give it a good go against Chelsea, knowing that we’ve also got the Shakhtar game remaining.
“However, we want to go through. I’m happy about scoring my first goal in Europe, but above all for the result itself.”
