Defensive solidarity is first on the agenda as the Juventus boss reacts to tonight’s success: “We needed to start keeping clean sheets and have managed to do so in our previous two games”
Antonio Conte has praised Juventus for regaining the defensive solidarity that formed the principal foundation behind their successive Scudetto triumphs.
Speaking after tonight’s 4-0 success over Catania, the 44-year-old said: “This was our fourth game in 10 days and we’ve got another three testing encounters ahead of us. We needed to start keeping clean sheets and have managed to do so in our previous two games.
Tonight’s triumph, the Bianconeri’s second in a row following Sunday’s 2-0 win against Genoa, was the team’s fourth fixture in the space of 10 days.
And with Parma, Real Madrid and Napoli next up before the mid-November international break, Conte called for his men to keep their sights fixed on the task in hand.
“Now we’ll think about one game at a time. Parma is a tough venue, somewhere where Milan have recently been defeated. We’ll begin to focus on Real from Sunday onwards.”
