While the rest of the squad enjoy two days off before they leave for the US, those who featured in the Confederations Cup have begun their pre-season
The countdown is on for Antonio Conte: just a couple more days and he'll have his whole squad back together. While the guys involved in the training camp in Châtillon and the TIM Trophy in Reggio Emilia are enjoying a well-earned break, the internationals have now officially started the 2013/14 season.
The guys who returned from Brazil and the Confederations Cup met his morning in Vinovo. The group is not as big as it once was, following the sale of Giaccherini, with eight Bianconeri involved: Gianluigi Buffon, Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Martin Caceres, Claudio Marchisio, Andrea Pirlo and Sebastian Giovinco met at Juventus Center early this morning. There they joined up with Luca Marrone and Simone Pepe, both on the comeback trail from injury.
They began two days of tests before they join up with their team-mates for the trip to the States on Friday. This morning they were straight to work with the tests run by Mapei, the same ones their team-mates have been put through over the last few weeks.
The only Juventus player still on leave is Paul Pogba. The Frenchman finished his commitments with the national team 10 days ago – winning the Under-20 World Cup – and will join up with his team-mates directly in the United States.
