All eyes on Serie A opener

After enjoying a two-day break following Sunday night’s Super Cup demolition of Lazio, Juventus begin their look ahead to this week's championship bow against Sampdoria with a double training session

Antonio Conte put a full Bianconeri squad through a double workout as preparations for Saturday night’s Serie A opener against Sampdoria officially got underway at Juventus Center this morning.

After enjoying a well-earned two-day break following Sunday evening’s triumphant 4-0 Super Cup rout over Lazio, today saw the players back at work as they bid to get their Scudetto defence off to the best possible start when they line up in Genoa.

An away trip to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris brought down the curtain on last season’s campaign and Conte will leave no stone unturned as he plots to avenge the final day defeat suffered at the hands of Delio Rossi’s charges.

The Bianconeri will continue their look ahead to the championship’s curtain-raiser when they return to the training ground tomorrow afternoon.
