The Chilean midfielder reacts to this afternoon's Derby della Mole victory which puts Juventus one step closer to sealing back-to-back title triumphs
Arturo Vidal claims the Bianconeri will not be letting up despite taking another important step towards a second consecutive Scudetto title following this afternoon’s 0-2 ‘Derby della Mole’ success over inter-city rivals Torino.
After reestablishing an 11-point lead over Napoli at the top of the table, Juventus now require just one more point from the remaining four league fixtures to secure title glory.
The Chilean midfielder put on yet another decisive performance as he continued his fine goalscoring form by netting his fourth in three games.
Speaking soon after the final whistle, the 25-year-old said: “It was vital to win today, there’s really not long to go now. But there’s still one point to get so we have to keep preparing well and then play a great game against Palermo. After that, we can celebrate.
“It was a difficult game. Torino played well and proved to be very well prepared tactically. It was tough, as it always is in derby matches.”
Despite this afternoon’s triumph putting the Bianconeri on the brink of completing back-to-back Scudetto triumphs, Vidal assured the team would not be resting on their laurels as they go in search of further silverware next season.
“We still have to improve. You always need to and that’s what we want to do, because our aim is to win everything.”
