Vidal scoops Juventus player of the year award

The effervescent Chilean midfielder crowns another superb campaign by finishing ahead of Marchisio and Pirlo in the Juventus Member poll

Arturo Vidal’s superb performances over the course of the 2012/13 season have seen him confirmed as the club’s player of the year by Juventus Members.

Having beaten off stiff competition from Paul Pogba and Mirko Vucinic to receive April’s title before the team’s title-winning clash with Palermo, the Chilean will again be pitchside to collect an award at Juventus Stadium, this time in recognition of his efforts across an entire campaign.

The 25-year-old has netted a total of 15 goals in all competitions and played a crucial part in the Bianconeri’s final sprint to Scudetto glory, finding the target in recent meetings with Lazio, Milan, Torino and Palermo to lift the club to its 31st title success.

Arturo, who finished ahead of Claudio Marchisio and Andrea Pirlo in the ranking, will be handed the accolade by one lucky Premium Member in the build-up to Saturday evening’s clash with Cagliari at Juventus Stadium.
