Camillo Venesio
Born in Turin on 13 November 1953, he achieved a degree in Business (cum laude) at the University of Turin in 1977.
After studying and working outside Italy for a while, in 1978 he was responsible for the merge of the Banca Anonima di Credito with the Banca di Casale e del Monferrato.
From the merge of these two Institutes one of the main private banks in the region was born, the Banca del Piemonte, of which he's been CEO (from 1983) and General Manager (from 1990).
He also covered the role of Chairman of the Small Banks Committee at ABI – the Italian Bank Association – and he's also on the Executive Committee and a member of the Board there. He's Deputy Chairman of the Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna too.
Moreover, he sits on the Board of Directors at Reale Mutua Assicurazioni and Si Holding S.p.A. In 2003 he received a Knighthood. He is Chairman of the Foreign Centre for the Internationalisation of Piedmont since December 2006.
