Italian teams preliminary round specialists
Juventus have tradition on their side as they start focusing on August's preliminary round games. Since 1997/98, eight Italian clubs have had to play the summer rounds to gain access to the main Champions League.
The toll count is widely in favour of the Italian teams, who have qualified 14 times out of 18. Here is the full list of the games played up until now.
