A win in Claudio's honour

The Olympic national team are continuing their unstoppable march in the football tournament at Beijing 2008. After defeating Honduras 3-0 in the first game, they did the same today against South Korea. Another 3-0 win, with goals by Rossi and Rocchi in the first half, and Montolivo near the end. The only Juventus player on the pitch today was Giovinco, who showed his class as usual and stayed on for 75 minutes. De Ceglie however stayed out.

As did Claudio Marchisio: the midfielder will wait until tomorrow to gauge how serious the injury to his right calf is and see if he can continue his Olympic adventure.

In any case the adventure will continue at full mast for the Azzurri. After two games, Italy are first with six points (with six goals for and none against), in front of Cameroon with four points, their next opponents in the final Group D game scheduled for Wednesday.
