Zaccheroni: «We will reach our target when it really counts»

Alberto Zaccheroni has not yet managed to celebrate his first victory on the Juve bench but for now he remains unbeaten and even though it is only doing so one step at a time, the table is changing. After the draw against Lazio came the one against Livorno. In the meantime the team began putting his ideas into practice., first and foremost a 3-strong defence, his flagship.

From the dressing rooms of the Picchi stadium, the coach examined the match: «Today’s wasn’t an easy match. They are clever when it comes to allowing the opponents to play, but today we committed many mistakes inidfield, conceding many changes of play. We tried to make the match ours even when we were one man down. In any case, there was the will and at this moment there cannot yet be the right mechanisms. Now I am counting on recovering a few players, especially in midfield with the return of Sissoko and Marchisio. The table is still very much levelled with many teams ready to sprint and amongst these there will be ours. Everything will be clear on the last match day and we will reach our target when it really counts».
