The defeat against Lazio is not an easy one to digest especially since in the past few days Juventus declared that the Coppa Italia was one of the objectives of the season. Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli was also visibly disappointed but just like a real sportsman it is important to get up from a blow and this summarises the words of the president.
«We lost and must admit it. In the second half we showed that we would have liked to react. Nedved hit the post and Del Piero scored a great goal. The sending-off of Camoranesi affected us and even though I don’t want to put the blame on him but he should not have fallen in the trap».
The protests were very evident: «The supporters are right to protest against us. On my part I will do all I can so that we can end the season in the best manner notwithstanding the difficulties. In the meantime Blanc and Secco will have to work to bring the right reinforcements. We must be united to get back on track and become once again competitive. Obviously I did not like the supporters’ criticism but it happens when you don’t reach the expectations. We must now try to do what we can to improve».
The period is not one of the luckiest: «Luck also plays a part and Lazio is also going through a good moment and it was unlucky for us to meet them during this moment».
