Ranieri: «I liked the spirit of the group»

Claudio Ranieri cannot be fully satisfied; the team won and qualified for the next round, booking another double match against Inter Milan, but many things didn't work out this time. First of all, Chiellini's injury, as it partially affected the outcome of the game against Empoli. And too many distractions, especially in defence, risked making the feat at the Olimpico pointless.

This is what the Manager said to Juventus Channel: «Today I liked the spirit of the team, the lads never gave up. But there were a few too many distractions. We should've had the match in our hands at 2-0 and not leave it to Empoli, plus they scored three identical goals. Now Inter Milan? I'm concentrating on Sunday's match against Sampdoria for the time being; I hope to recover a few of my men for that, especially in defence».
