Christian Poulsen was born in Asnaes (Denmark) on February 28th 1980.

He's one of the best-known footballers in Europe, due to his long career in the Danish national team and his spells in the German Bundesliga and the Spanish Liga. After starting out in his home country, specifically at FC Copenhagen, in 2002 he joined Schalke 04, one of the top German teams, where he stayed until 2006.

From there he went on to Sevilla, where he played for two seasons prior to arriving at Juventus.
