Jonathan Zebina
Squad number: 5
Jonathan Zebina was born on July 19 1978 in Paris. His mum's name is Martine and his dad's Denis. She works as a nurse, while dad manages the family's finances. Jonathan has a brother, Alexis, and a sister, Julia, both students.
He has a high school diploma in accounting and is happily single.
Jonathan is a true arts lover. Last year he opened an art gallery in Milan and he spends most of his free time there. He loves art in any form, be it music, cinema or anything else.
He listens to a lot of music: soul, R’N’B, jazz, house, pop, rock, lounge, depending on the moment and his mood. He loves various groups and citing them all would take too long. What is certain is that music forms an integral part of his day.
He adores art-house cinema too. There are many films that have touched him and that he’s fond of, but perhaps the one that has affected him more lately is Alejandro Gonzalez's Babel.
His main hobby is still his family though: he adores spending whole days with them talking about many different things. He watches very little television.
His favourite dish? Impossible to limit the choice to just one. The important thing is that it's cooked by his mum, who's a really great cook. He loves wine, but doesn't drink spirits.
Jonathan is very careful about the way he looks. He chooses to dress according to the occasion and most of all according to his mood. He loves details: watches, rings and glasses are the accessories he chooses more carefully.
He's not massively into sport, doesn't anxiously follow whatever is shown on TV, but he does love to see the perfect athletic effort, in any sport. For him the all-time sportsman is Cassius Clay/Muhammad Ali. Not just for his physical power, thanks to which he could dominate and win against any opponent, but also for the way he put his huge fame to the service of doing good for other people.
Jonathan started playing football when he was 7, in the Palaiseau team, a team of the Parisian suburbs. He always played as a defender.
His fondest memory at Juventus is his debut match: 12th of September 2004, Brescia-Juventus 0-3, everything went perfectly, including his magnificent assist.
He's deeply grateful for the luck he’s had in becoming a footballer. Every day is his best-ever day.
A dream of his? To live and work in New York, a city he considers the centre of the world.
