Hasan Salihamidzic

Squad Number: 7

Hasan Salihamidzic was born in Jablinica, in Bosnia-Erzegovina, on the 1st of January 1977. His mum, a housewife, is called Sefika. His dad, Ahmed, is retired. He has a sister, Ilhana, born in 1973.
He's happily married with Esther; the couple have three wonderful children: Selina, Nick and Lara.

When asked what he enjoys doing when he's not training, “Brazzo” – his nickname, a word that translates as “brother” – has no hesitation in replying: spending time with his family. He has fun playing with his kids and he considers it his duty to help Esther around the house.

When he can, he listens to a lot of music, particularly Justin Timberlake and 50 Cent.
Usually the television is “owned” by his children, but when he has the choice, he's keen to watch his favourite film again: The Godfather. His best-loved actors are Al Pacino – the choice of The Godfather is no coincidence – and Robert De Niro.

In a short time he was able to appreciate Italian cuisine and has fallen in love with it. His favourite dish has now become pasta. His favourite chef? His wife, who has quickly learned to cook Italian recipes very well. He also likes fine wines, red and white, Italian and French.

When it comes to his choice of clothes, he has no doubts: comfortable sportswear and casual clothes for training, simple but elegant attire when he goes out at night with his family. One of his true passions is watches: he loves buying them, collecting them and wearing them.

He doesn't follow other sports much. His one true sporting passion is watching billiards on television.

He simply adores football however: it's his world and his one big love, after his family obviously. He began playing when he was 8 for a small Bosnian team: Turbina Jablanica. He then moved to Velez Mostar and after that he emigrated to the German League, first at Hamburg and then at Bayern Munich. His idol has always been Maradona; since he was a kid he has tried to imitate him.

His fondest memory? It's hard to find just one for someone who has won the German League 6 times, the Champions League and the Intercontinental Cup once, and the German Cup and Super Cup 4 times. He has no doubts about his dream though: he wants to win trophies as soon as possible with Juventus.
