Alberto Zaccheroni addresses a press conference on the eve of the match against Palermo: «They are an opponent who lately has had a good consistency in performances. The result against Roma was not fool anybody. Watch the match. Without underrating Roma, Palermo’s performance was of a very high level». When asked what he foresees in the immediate future, Zac said that it is important to watch «one match after another, even because in the Italian championship there is great equilibrium and no easy matches».

Asked whether he would be ready to put his signature for a fourth place in the table, the Juventus coach answered: «I always look ahead because if you want to obtain something you cannot do so using this policy but by always trying to improve».

Six consecutive positive results had been missing for quite some time. With regards to the risk of euphoria , Zac answered: «I do not see it. There is on the other hand, a greater awareness of our means. There are difficulties in every match. The important thing is to get there in good physical condition». What does he expect from the team? «I am trying to build and every match gives me new information. I am not the sort of person who tries to maintain. I always expect a slight improvement but I am ready to accept a slight fallback. I hope it doesn’t happen but if it does I wouldn’t make a whole scene out of it, just like I do not exaggerate after a series of positive results. What we must do? Seeing that our opponents know us better, we must always be fast in interpreting the game».

The Juventus coach spoke of the meeting with the board of directors yesterday in Vinovo: «It was a serene and stimulating encounter. I spoke of what I have done since my arrival here, the risks we face and how I intend improving the team». He ended the conference answering the many words of praise received from the critics: «Now my attention is elsewhere. I hope to receive them at the end of the season».
