«We are not particularly tense but we surely care very much about the match against Ajax. We are coming from an excellent result in Amsterdam, but we know that little is needed to change the match round and therefore we want to do well and we will show this on the field». Giorgio Chiellini, seated beside Zaccheroni during the press conference on the eve of the match against the lancers, underlined the concentration of the group. The concentration will have to be shown on the field, starting from the defensive phase in order to return to not conceding goals: «Juventus’ strength has always been the defence and we are trying to work everyday to eliminate even the minimum defects. Surely an objective for the coming matches, is returning to not conceding goals,because since the 22nd November against Udinese, excluding the Coppa Italia match against Napoli, we have been conceding goals and this is making us a bit angry». Just like for gthe coach, even for Giorgio, Juventus must improve further to continue pursuing their objectives: «We are still playing in the cup and the championship and we are trying to go on in the Europa League. In the championship the objective is to end up as far up as possible. We are currently fourth and will be trying to make it to the third place. We are concentrated on the next matches because we know that half a match played badly is enough to ruin everything».

Asked whether during the diffiuclt moment of the season, he ever doubted the team’s qualities he answered: «On emust live the moments and when things are going the wrong way it is wrong to feel too strong. Presumption is a mistake, awareness of your means is a merit and therefore when things go wrong, you must find other ways like compactness and determination to help you to find the quality».

Just like Zaccheroni, even Giorgio underlines the importance of Del Piero at this moment: «That Ale is a star player is not something new. He always showed this and this year he is the same. It is not a coincidence that the best moment of certain players coincide with those of the whole team. We all felt his absence and when he was capable of making the diferrence the team had better performances».

Finally a look at the Champions League, to underline Molinaro’s performance against Barcelona and express his support for Italian teams: «I am happy for Christian. He played a great match against one of the best players in the world (Messi). The whole team played well, he shined and perhaps they deserved something more. With regards to Inter-Chelsea, there is sympathy for Ancelotti, because he was a great coach in Italy and I hope he does well in England too. I hope Inter go through, but it doesn’t interest me much. I am more interested in what I do».
