ECA in full support of Financial Fair Play

March 2, 2010

This afternoon, in Manchester, the ECA (European Club Association), the organization which unites the most important European clubs, concluded its general assembly. Juventus was represented by president Jean-Claude Blanc.

The last two days were two days of work which saw the participation of delegations from 90 European clubs who discussed two subjects in particular. The primary subject was the FFP (Financial Fair Play), UEFA’s project for the correct financial management even through infrastructure investments (such as club owned stadiums) and the youth sector, aspects which have always seen Juventus in the fore front.

The assembly gave its full support to the project, through three points: the presentation to the UEFA Executive Committee for the approval in May 2010, two test seasons (2010/11 and 2011/12) and the definite activation by the 2012/13 season.

The second point was with regards to the update of the situation regarding the dialogue undertaken by the ECA with UEFA, FIFA and the EU and all the subjects of the football world, such as the national federations and the players’ associations.
