During the first friendly match against the Rappresentativa del Trentino, Davide Lanzafame was one of the most positive. Fielded on the flank, first on the right and then on the left, he showed interesting initiatives and gave a beautiful assist to David Trezeguet: «It was the first match after 7 or 8 days of training and it went well – explained Davide – but we will get even better with time. The coach was happy with how we played and the commitment we put into it. He changed the flank, something which I often did even at Sampdoria, and this is not a problem for me: in recent years I played on both sides».

Lanzafame is urging to confirm himself even in the coming matches. He knows he has a great chance and does not want to miss out on it: «If you play for Juve you must show personality and must not limit yourself to simply doing your duty. We must show our worth while maintaining humility. My return to Juve was unexpected. I am proud of the choice made by the club and I want to re-pay them for the faith in me. I was brought up here, joining when I was 6 years old and staying here for 14 years. When I was 11 years old I was a ball-boy at the Delle Alpi and I saw Del Piero on the field. Now that I am here I hope to learn a great deal from him. Alex and Legrottaglie are examples to follow for their commitment during the daily training sessions».

Davide likes the new Juve which is being born: «There are excellent wingers, in goal we have Storari, Manninger and Buffon will soon be back…The team can compete for the scudetto and the Europa League».
