After a month-long break in the Primavera championship, the Bianconeri quickly get back into their stride with a 3-2 comeback win against Parma thanks to goals from Hector Otin, Filippo Penna and Christian Tavanti
The Primavera went into today’s game away at Parma following a month away from league action, but they showed no signs of having lost their competitive edge as they came back from being behind to eventually triumph 3-2.
Andrea Zanchetta’s side were expecting challenging opposition given that many of last year’s Scudetto-winning Allievi side were involved, but it turned out to be one of Juventus’ own recent Allievi, Hector Otin, who opened the scoring.
Parma proved their mettle by turning things around to a 2-1 scoreline in their favour, but when faced with defeat the Juve youngsters spurred themselves into action: Filippo Penna drew them level, before Christian Tavanti sealed an important victory with the winner right at the death.
With 12 points on the board following today’s triumph, Juve jump to third position in the domestic league table and now await the arrival of Real Madrid for Tuesday’s Youth League clash.
As well as trying to gain revenge for the 6-2 defeat suffered at the hands of Los Blancos in Spain, Zanchetta’s side will be out to put themselves back into one of the qualification spots for the last-16 of the Under 19 Champions League tournament.
The clash is to be played at Ivrea’s Stadio Gino Pistoni at 14.30 CET. For more information, please click here.
