Caceres undergoes surgery

The defender is expected to be out of action for up to 40 days after undergoing arthroscopic lateral meniscectomy surgery on his right knee

Martin Caceres was this morning operated on at Turin’s Fornaca clinic after reporting back from last weekend’s international duty with a knee injury.

The defender underwent arthroscopic lateral meniscectomy surgery on his right knee, with the procedure carried out successfully by Professor Quaglia.

Caceres will now rest for a few days before beginning physiotherapy treatment. He is expected to be out of action for up to 40 days.
