Conte’s men entertain capacity crowd in Val d’Aosta

The Bianconeri continue to work hard in front of a packed Stadio Brunod during the first of today’s two training sessions

After two strenuous workouts yesterday, it was a group made up mainly of the younger Juventus players who took to the field first this morning.

The squad warmed up by sprinting between cones, having to quickly change direction, before a long distance passing exercise that culminated in the final player having to slot home into a mini goal.

The goalkeepers, meanwhile, practiced saving at close range. Goalkeeping coach Claudio Filippi then fired shots at them in quick succession to improve their reflexes, before testing their ability to intercept a low cross.

Next to enter the arena was Luca Marrone, who came on to rapturous applause. The central midfielder did laps of the pitch before some agility drills in a one-to-one session.

With die-hard Juve fan Mario’s cymbals ringing in the stands, the first team, who spent the early part of the morning in the gym, took their turn to soak up the cheers as they walked onto the pitch alongside the main stand.

In a relatively short outing, the players followed a similar schedule to the earlier group, starting with sprints before carrying out the same passing exercises.

It was a useful session for all concerned, and the players will resume their preparations for the 2013/14 campaign this afternoon at 4.30pm (CET).
