Saturday evening sees Juventus back in action at the Allianz Stadium, with AC Milan visiting for a game of real importance. Kick-off in Turin is set for 18:00 CEST.
With the fight for second place still open, the result on Saturday is likely to play a part in determining who of the Bianconeri or the Rossoneri finish the season as runners-up in Serie A.
Ahead of Saturday’s game, here are ten things to know about the Rossoneri.
- AC Milan are the side to have won the most matches against Juventus in Serie A history with 53. They are also the team against whom Juventus have drawn the most times (56).
- Juventus haven’t managed to do a Serie A double over Milan since 2018/19, but are in a position to do so again this season after their 1-0 win at the San Siro back in October.
- Milan have failed to beat Juventus in six of the last seven meetings between the two in which the Rossoneri began the game ahead of the Bianconeri in the Serie A table, with Juventus winning three of those.
- Milan have scored more goals from corners than anybody in Serie A this season with 11, though Juventus are the side to have conceded the fewest from corners (two).
- Milan are the side to have conceded the fewest goals from headers this season (two), though one of those came last time out to Francesco Acerbi of Inter.
- No side in Serie A has conceded more goals from outside the box than Milan’s 10. Across the last 20 seasons, they have only fared worse in 2019/20 (11).
- With 15 goals scored from substitutes this season, no Serie A side has enjoyed more effective substitutions than Milan. Their tally is a record for the era of three points for a win.
- Having scored last time he visited the Allianz Stadium, Olivier Giroud could become the first Milan player to score in his first two away games at Juventus in the three-points-for-a-win era.
- Rafael Leto has been involved in seven goals in 10 Serie A appearances since February with four goals and three assists. In that period, only Paulo Dybala (eight) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (also eight) have more.
- Ruben Loftus-Cheek is enjoying his best-ever scoring season this term, having equalled his 2018/19 tally of six goals, then with Chelsea. In all, he has been involved in seven Serie A goals (six goals and one assist) this season and has only once done better (again in 2018/19 with eight - six goals and two assists).
