The match began with a high tempo and intensity, with the Bianconeri starting with determination, attempting to exploit the spaces left by the home side. Kalulu had the first chance on the counterattack, racing up the pitch, but his attempted cross was blocked. McKennie and Gatti then tested Courtois with two dangerous shots from the edge of the penalty area, both saved by the Belgian goalkeeper.
DI GREGORIO PULLS OFF GREAT SAVES

JUVE CLOSE TO SCORING BUT MADRID BREAK THE DEADLOCK
The second half began exactly as intensely as the first. Kalulu had a chance, firing a powerful shot from inside the penalty area, but it was blocked by Militao, who then cleared it for a corner. In the 50th minute, Vlahovic burst forward on a counter attack on his own into the opposition half, speeding and powering past Militao and reaching the penalty area, firing on goal only to be denied by a strong Courtois save. Seven minutes later, however, Madrid broke the deadlock with a Bellingham tap-in after Vinicius' left-footed shot had hit the post.
SUBSTITUTIONS CREATE CHANCES BUT FAIL TO LEVEL SCORE

Coach Tudor then brought in fresh faces from the bench, introducing Conceicao, David, and Openda. The latter two created a great chance to equalize, with David expertly laying it off to Openda, who managed to get a shot off, but Asencio managed to slide in to block it last-second The final chance of the match came from substitute Kostic, with a left-footed strike from outside the box that forced another save from Courtois in injury time.
