Ahead of Juventus Women’s UEFA Women’s Champions League away fixture against BK Häcken, scheduled for Wednesday, 30 September at 18:45 CEST, Julia Bartel and Head Coach Isaac Guerrero spoke at the pre-match press conference.

“My first few months at Juventus have been very positive and settling in has been easy. The culture and the people are very similar to what I was used to in Spain, and everyone has helped me from day one. The team is improving game by game, and that is the most important thing. Having other Spanish teammates in the squad certainly helps during the initial adaptation period, but the truth is that the whole group has made me feel very welcome.

“Everyone brings something different and valuable to the team, and the understanding we have off the pitch is then reflected in our performances on it.

“As a team, we want to compete and fight to win every possible trophy. On a personal level, I am young and I know that Juventus is the perfect place for me to continue developing and improving every day. The league win against Napoli Women gives us enthusiasm and confidence going into tomorrow’s match. The result against Benfica did not fully reflect the performance we produced on the pitch, but we are aware of the areas in which we need to improve.

“We are constantly working on every detail with great determination, and our focus is entirely on the Club and the challenges ahead.”

“We are preparing to face a top-level opponent, a competitive and direct team with an extremely strong attacking unit and an important tradition in women’s football. It will be an exciting and demanding test, very similar in terms of characteristics to the match we played against Hammarby. For us, every game in a Juventus shirt is decisive.

“We go into this match on the back of a very positive period: the players are expressing our footballing ideas well. Our main challenge remains imposing our style of play, taking to the pitch with the right attitude and with the desire to turn good performances into positive results.

“Both in the Italian league and in Europe, we come up against high-quality opponents. Serie A Women and all the domestic competitions prepare us in the best possible way to compete at a high level in Europe as well.
