The UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 is officially underway, and a number of Juventus Women players were in action on the opening Matchday. Switzerland vs Norway and Iceland vs Finland got the tournament going, as Group A began to take shape.

Several Bianconere were involved in the match, which ended in a 2-1 victory for Norway. Hosts Switzerland, with Viola Calligaris starting, had taken the lead early on through Seraina Riesen, giving the home crowd hope. However, the Norwegians responded with a goal from Ada Hegerberg before a Julia Stierli own goal gave them the lead.

Calligaris played the full 90 minutes, while Alisha Lehmann remained on the bench.

For Norway, Mathilde Harviken made a solid contribution after coming on for the final half hour, helping her team close out the game and hold on for a crucial opening win.

Group B is next, with Wednesday seeing Belgium vs Italy and Spain vs Portugal.
