Andrea Agnelli says everyone at Juventus is fully committed to making history by achieving this season’s primary target of a third consecutive Scudetto.
But the club president insists the team’s progress in Serie A should not come at the expense of its development in the Champions League, a stellar international club tournament in which he feels Juventus needs to be competing.
Speaking on CNN’s World Sport show, Agnelli said: “Only one Juventus side in history has won more than two consecutive titles, for the last time you have to go back to the 1930s when we lifted five in a row.
“We’ve played seven games so far this season and we’re doing quite well. It’s important for us to focus on this league title, not forgetting that we are and feel an international team and also have to do well in the Champions League.”
