The Allievi Nazionali got their championship season off to a solid start with this afternoon’s comfortable 3-0 home victory over Livorno.
There was only ever one side in the game as Ivano Della Morte’s youngsters saw off their opposition with a combination of incisive passing and clinical finishing.
Strikes from Nicolò Pozzebon, Andrea Stocco and a Luca Clemenza penalty put the final outcome beyond any doubt and ensured the young Bianconeri commenced their campaign with three important points in the bag.
Speaking after the final whistle, Della Morte commented: “We started on the right foot and deserved the win. It was pretty much one-way traffic, even though you obviously can’t be at your maximum in the first few games of the season.”
The Allievi will have the opportunity to get further championship minutes under their belt when they travel to Carpi next Sunday for their second outing of the league season.
